How did it all start?
An old friend of mine, Malcolm was an ‘accidental Event Organisor’, starting at a fairly young age approached me and asked me to help him ‘digitalize his events’ to be able to compete with other EOs, to be ‘different’.
This actually began our journey into Event Management Tools and the emergence of our Lucky Draw software, Version 0.1 which was officially used in the AEON Credit’s Annual Dinner many years ago. They had a few hundred consolation prizes to draw plus about 20 grand prize winners that will be drawn on stage by VIPs.
The most important feature was – to be completely RANDOM and that no one can influence the winner selection. Simple programming using various software allowed our programmer to achieve that. MS Excel too was able to achieve this but without any style or fanfare.
We opted to go for HTML since everything back then and even today was HTML and Internet ready. This meant, we just needed a simple browser to pull off the lucky draw and it also gave us the flexibility of customizing the background and titles.
It was a huge success, the EO and the client loved it!
It inspired us to aim for something better, more elegant and simpler to use.
Thus, our journey began, sometime in 2012 ………….
